Ever, thank you for taking time to meet with me and give us a glimpse into your SL life. Tell us a little about yourself …
I bet you can tell that I like to stay busy. Over the past year I have opened a club, Djed, started a photography studio, a blog, a buisness, and have been included in the September round of Windlight Magazine’s Inworld Gallery.
What brought you to the threshold of Second Life, Ever?
Curiosity. I read an article about the program in a magazine and decided to see what it was about. I logged in and after an hour I was hooked.
I started my blog simply to have a reason for my photography. I wanted a platform where I could share my art, and feel like it was serving a purpose. I was bored with simply taking pictures of myself. I currently post photos of whatever fits my mood. This ranges from fashion photography, profile pictures, landscapes of sim, or simply whats on my mind.
Ever After Photography was born out of my passion to create art. I cater to profile pictures for singles and couple. I work a bit differently than others. I ask prospective clients to pick an outfit they love and describe it to me. I will find a setting and pose that fits my vision. All work is done in world using windlight with very little post processing.
The best of my work seems to come about when i let my emotions speak through me. It’s a muse really, that strikes when I am inspired by what I am feeling.
Is photography part of your real life, as well, or is this a completely new venture for you inworld?
It is a part of my real world. I have been an amateur photography since I was 15 and got my first camera for Christmas. I used to walk the fields in my rural hometown and take pictures of the cows.
If the photo is for me, I simply wander. Something will catch my eye and speak to me. A tree, a pose, even an outfit. Recently while shopping at Collabor88 I saw a dress and I knew I wanted to take a series of Ballerina photos. These will be included in my upcoming Gallery Opening.
I am proud to have been included in the September round of the Windlight Magazine Gallery. I was very surprised and honored to be included in the talented group of artists. I have never expected to be here.
Is this your first exhibit in an inworld gallery?
Yes. My photography has always been for me. I never expected to be able to share it with others. I’m extremely honored to be included in the WindLight Magazine Gallery.
Do you prefer to be contacted by email, inworld, or by Facebook, Ever?
Inworld or Facebook both work well for me.
Is there anything else that you’d like to share with the readers?
I would encourage your readers to pursue their passions. Work everyday to improve what you love to do. It is worth it to be the best you can be.
Thank you so much for adding me to your blog. And thank you for your kind comments earlier. 🙂
